Adaptive Dance Class

Exploring Dance, Rhythm and Meeting New Friends
 
Adaptive Dance is a class for children ages 9-15 with special needs, such as Autism, Downs Syndrome and Autistic Spectrum Disorders. The classes empahsize creative movement principals and simplified ballet techniques. The class is tailored to address sensory sensitivties and include motor movement in a structured studio environment.
 
The class is taught by Elaine Lang, RNMS, CNS-BS. Mrs. Lang is a yoga therapist,
counselor and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Elaine is a dance enthusiast
and has studied dance throughout her life.
 
Classes take place during two six week sessions with one in the fall and one in the spring.
