Will Scott is an Atlanta native. Will began dancing at the age of 8 with jazz classes, later expanding his repertoire to tap and ballet. He trained throughout his high school career under Marcus Alford, Annie Day, and Terrel Paulk. After graduating from high school, Will attended the University of Alabama where he performed in lead roles for ballets such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, La Bayadere, and others. He trained during this time under Cornelius Carter, Sarah Barry, Rita Snyder, and Qianping Guo. He was also able to take part in a school grant that brought Clay Taliaferro to the school to set Jose Limon’s, There is a Time, where he performed in multiple sections. Will has dance lead roles in Cinderella, The Nutcracker, An American in Paris, Midnight Summer Night’s Dream with Ballet Spartanburg. He has also performed for TedXTryon with Company member Nichola Montt in Passages by choreographer, Lona Gomez. This is Will’s fifth season with join Ballet Spartanburg.
